Sometimes dreams change.
Sometimes what you thought and hoped your life would look like morphs and fades as it goes on.
Sometimes what you thought you couldn't live without gets pushed away until you find yourself imagining a brand new day.
All it takes is a spark.
A new flame births inside your soul, and you find yourself happier than you ever were before, or ever would have been had life gone how you planned.
Dreams change.
And sometimes, they remain.
Sometimes it pains you to part with them.
Sometimes you have to choose to dive into the deep end every day, leaving your dreams behind you, rather than continuing to live your life with one foot out of the water.
Some flames go dim as you dive further in, and others get locked away...
And then there are those which you find in the depths.
Dreams of which are worth any loss.
Sometimes they just need to get locked away for awhile until we can pursue them correctly, or until God decides the time is right to hand it over to us.
Other times they need to be left behind entirely so that we can find the wonderful things that are truly in store for us.
Choosing to dive in is probably one of the hardest things we will ever do.
It's a choice to walk through the fog, seeing nothing ahead but the One Who leads you.
But you know what?
It's worth it.
The only way to experience the fullness of what God has in store for our lives is to be willing to love Him more than our dreams.
WAY easier said than done in this fallen world, but the outcome is beyond worth it.
Hand over the pen to Him and He will not let you down with the story you read.
Even when dreams change.
This life is an earthquake. Always moving, always shaking us unexpectedly... Come journey with me as we discover the peace hidden in it all.
